The Great Famine Voices Roadshow team flew to Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site accompanied by Parks Canada staff where they toured the Celtic Cross Famine memorial on Telegraph Hill, the Glass Wall Famine Memorial in the Irish Cemetery where almost six thousand emigrants lie buried in a mass grave, and the Lazaretto (fever shed). Grosse Île is twinned with the National Famine Museum at Strokestown Park House in County Roscommon, Ireland.
